PORT YARIMCA, established as part of the partnership between OYAK Denizcilik ve Liman İşletmeleri AŞ and the Japanese Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Group, has won the Stellantis Group's Finished Vehicle Logistics tender.
According to the statement released by the company, PORT YARIMCA, identified as Turkey's 'Newest and Most Modern Automobile Port,' initiated a significant collaboration for the automotive industry.
Having secured the Finished Vehicle Logistics tender opened by Stellantis Group, PORT YARIMCA will provide port handling, stocking, terminal, and technical support services to Peugeot, Citroen, DS, and Opel brands during the period of 2022 and 2023.
While the collaboration marks the initial step between Stellantis Group and PORT YARIMCA, it is anticipated to evolve into a robust, long-term partnership, aiming to make significant contributions to the country's economy and the automotive sector.
The investment in PORT YARIMCA, established to meet the needs of the automotive sector, boasts an annual handling capacity of 780,000 vehicles and a total closed parking area of 265,000 square meters, exclusively serving the automotive industry. PORT YARIMCA will continue its operations as the new hub for global automotive logistics.
